Our founding principle

Founded on
a single belief.

That the appearance of our skin need not reflect our chronological age. When the biology beneath the skin is properly supported — when cellular communication is restored, the barrier is fortified, and the skin’s environment is calm — visible improvement follows.

Not in one area. In many, simultaneously.

This is the principle that EXOGLO was built around. And it is the reason MESCH exists.

The origin

A question asked in the laboratory.

MESCH began with a research question: could the biology of exosomes — the cell-to-cell communication system at the centre of regenerative medicine — be applied directly to the surface of skin?

The answer, after years of research, formulation trials, and validation alongside leading chemists in Tokyo, became EXOGLO Serum. The first product from a biotechnology company that treats skincare with the rigour of clinical science — because it always has been.

Not a skincare brand that borrowed scientific language. A science company that made a skincare product.

Biomedical Engineering & Exosome Biology

Dr. Joshua Chou’s research spans biomedical engineering, exosome biology, and the science of cellular ageing — areas that have historically existed far from skincare. At MESCH, that distance is the point.

His laboratory at the University of Technology Sydney pioneered the use of human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell exosomes in topical applications. This research — which had previously existed exclusively within the domain of regenerative medicine — now forms the scientific foundation of EXOGLO Serum.

The formulation process behind EXOGLO was not a matter of selecting trendy actives. It was a matter of establishing the biological conditions under which healthy-looking skin becomes possible — and then engineering a product that creates those conditions consistently, every morning and night.

Our approach

Three principles
that guide everything
we make.

  1. Clinical
    Rigour

Every formulation decision at MESCH is grounded in biomedical research. We do not add ingredients because they are fashionable. We add them because the science supports their mechanism — and because we can measure their effect. EXOGLO was not designed to feel luxurious. It was designed to work. That it also feels exceptional is a consequence of getting the biology right.

  2. Biological
    Intelligence

The skin is not a surface to be treated. It is a complex, living system — with its own communication pathways, protective mechanisms, and environmental sensitivities. EXOGLO was formulated to work with this system, not to override it. Microbiome-conscious pH, barrier-supporting lipids, and exosome-based cellular signalling: every component chosen because it supports what healthy skin already knows how to do.

  3. Measured
    Accountability

In partnership with EVELAB, MESCH uses advanced skin imaging and artificial intelligence to evaluate the visible effects of EXOGLO over time. We do not rely on claimed outcomes. We measure them — across 35 skin attributes, with an AI trained on more than 10 million skin images and validated by dermatologists and microbiome researchers.

Crafted in Tokyo, Japan

Where science
meets formulation.

EXOGLO is formulated in Tokyo — a city whose cosmetic manufacturing tradition sets the global benchmark for precision, hygiene, and stability science.

Working alongside leading cosmetic chemists with deep expertise in bioactive formulation, MESCH developed EXOGLO to meet the exact requirements of both its biological actives and the skin that receives them.

The result is a lightweight gel-serum that delivers exosome technology in a form the skin can absorb — stable, sensorial, and formulated to the highest standards of cosmetic science.

In partnership with EVELAB, MESCH uses advanced skin imaging and artificial intelligence to evaluate the visible effects of EXOGLO over time. Rather than relying on subjective assessments or self-reported outcomes, EVELAB uses standardised imaging protocols and AI-driven analysis to assess change across a defined set of skin attributes.

The methodology is validated by dermatologists, environmental medicine specialists, and microbiome researchers. It is the same standard MESCH holds itself to internally — and the same standard we believe the skincare industry should adopt broadly.
