Why Micro-Needling Matters
-
At a depth of 0.3mm, micro-needling delivers meaningful, visible improvements while remaining gentle enough for at-home use. With consistent practice, it can help support:
-
Enhanced interaction with serums
By creating temporary micro-channels on the skin’s surface, micro-needling can enhance the application and surface penetration of serums, helping your skincare work more effectively.
Using this tool in conjunction with EXOGLO Serum will help amplify performance for maximum results. -
Smoother, more refined-looking skin
Regular use helps reduce the look of uneven texture and visible pores, leaving skin looking smoother and more refined. -
Softer-looking fine lines
Consistent superficial micro-stimulation supports the skin’s natural renewal cycle, which can help soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time. -
A brighter, more luminous complexion
As surface turnover is supported and skin texture improves, the complexion may appear more radiant and luminous over time.
How to use
In the evening, thoroughly cleanse and dry skin.

With clean hands, immediately apply EXOGLO Serum to leverage enhanced penetration through the micro-channels.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the EXOGLO Derma Roller?
The EXOGLO Derma Roller is an at-home 0.3mm microneedling tool designed to create superficial microchannels across the skin’s surface. These microchannels help optimise the absorption of topical skincare products such as EXOGLO Serum to support visible skin renewal.
Is 0.3mm safe for at-home use?
Yes, the needles are 0.3mm and suitable for at-home use. It provides gentle, superficial microstimulation designed to enhance the absorption of skincare without penetrating deeper dermal layers.
What benefits can I expect?
With consistent use, users may notice:
- Smoother looking skin texture
- A more refined appearance of pores
- Softer looking fine lines over time
- A brighter, more luminous complexion
- Enhanced results when used alongside EXOGLO Serum or compatible skincare
How does it work?
The roller’s 480 ultra-fine titanium needles create tiny, controlled microchannels in the superficial layers of the skin.
This process helps:
- Support natural surface turnover
- Improve the appearance of texture irregularities
- Enhance the absorption of serums applied after use
- Visibly soften the look of fine lines over time
Can I use this with EXOGLO Serum?
Absolutely, the tool was designed with EXOGLO Serum in mind.
Using the Derma Roller prior to EXOGLO may help optimise skincare performance and enhance the visible results of your routine.
Can I use it with other skincare products?
Yes. The Derma Roller can support the visible benefits of most water-based or gel-based serums that focus on hydration, brightening or surface refinement.
Avoid using:
- Retinoids
- Acids such as AHAs, BHAs, PHAs
- Benzoyl peroxide
- Potent actives that may irritate sensitised skin
Stick to soothing, replenishing, or hydrating products post-rolling.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using prescription retinoids or any topical products prescribed by a healthcare professional, please check with them first before implementing use of this Derma Roller or any skincare tool.
How often should I use the Derma Roller?
2–3 times per week is optimal for most skin types.
If your skin is very sensitive, start once a week and gradually increase as tolerated.
Who is it suitable for?
Most skin types can use the EXOGLO Derma Roller, including those concerned with:
- Uneven skin texture
- Dullness
- Visible pores
- Fine lines
- Lack of luminosity
Avoid use if you have active acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, broken skin, warts, or are prone to keloid scarring.
Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
The tool itself is mechanical, not chemical - but because everyone’s skin sensitivity varies during pregnancy or breastfeeding, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider first.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe the sensation as mild prickling or light stimulation. Because needles are 0.3mm, discomfort is minimal.
How do I clean and sanitise the Derma Roller?
Good hygiene is essential.
After each use:
- Spray thoroughly with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Allow it to air dry completely before returning it to its case.
Never share your Derma Roller with others.
How long does each session take?
Around 2–3 minutes.
Roll lightly over each section of the face - vertically, horizontally and diagonally – without applying pressure.
What should I do before using it?
- Start with freshly cleansed, dry skin.
- Avoid exfoliating acids or retinoids on the same day.
- Ensure your Derma Roller is fully sanitised.
What should I apply after using it?
Stick to calming, hydrating, or restorative products.
Ideal post-rolling products include:
- EXOGLO Serum
- Hyaluronic acid
- Ceramide or lipidrich moisturisers
- Soothing essences or gels
Avoid potent actives for at least 24 hours.
Is there any downtime?
At 0.3 mm, downtime is minimal. You may experience temporary redness or slight warmth for 10-30 minutes.
Can I use it on my neck or décolletage?
Yes, these areas respond well but use a gentler hand as the skin is thinner.
When will I see results?
Most people notice skin looking brighter and smoother within 2-4 weeks of consistent use.
Improvements in the appearance of fine lines and overall texture continue over time.
Can this help with pigmentation or scarring?
A 0.3 mm Derma Roller may support visible improvements in uneven tone and texture, but it is not intended to treat deeper concerns or scars. For acne scarring or deeper pigmentation, professional treatments are recommended.
Can I use retinol with a Derma Roller?
You can, but not immediately after rolling.
If you use retinoids, apply them on nights you don’t use your Derma Roller.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using prescription retinoids or any topical products prescribed by a healthcare professional, please check with them first before implementing use of this Derma Roller or any skincare tool.
How long will the EXOGLO Derma Roller last?
Because this is a premium, precision engineered tool using titanium microneedles, it lasts far longer than budget rollers. However, because everyone’s usage is different, there is no specific lifespan of this tool.
Replace it when:
- needles begin to feel less “prickly” during use
- the rolling sensation changes
- continuous use doesn’t yield the same results
- you notice increased sensitivity during use
Can I use it if I have breakouts?
Avoid rolling over active acne or breakouts, as this may spread bacteria or irritate the skin. Wait until blemishes have settled.
Is this okay for sensitive skin?
Yes, with moderation.
Start slowly. For example, once a week using a light hand, and always pair with soothing, hydrating skincare.
Can I travel with it?
Yes, the clamshell case keeps the Derma Roller protected and hygienic. Just be sure to sanitise before and after use whilst you travel.
Can men use it?
Absolutely. It can help improve visible texture, uneven tone, dryness, and the look of fine lines on all skin types, including thicker, more textured male skin.
